The library

With over 100,000 documents, the Musée d’Aquitaine library is housed in what was formerly the library of the Bordeaux University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It specialises in history, archaeology and ethnography, and also has a collection devoted to the history of Bordeaux and its region. You will also find documents on conservation, restoration and museum work in general.

Entrance is free for all, no registration required

Opening times: Monday 13.30 - 17.00 and Tuesday to Friday 9.00 – 12.30 and 13.30 – 17.00.
