The photo library

Opened in 1962, the Museum of Aquitaine photo library has a collection of around 100,000 photographs on different media, black-and-white negatives, slides and colour positives (Ektachromes).

Today 6,000 digital photographs are available to the public.

Access is provided by means of a contract authorising the reproduction of images between the Museum of Aquitaine (Town of Bordeaux) and the requester, and a charge comprising the provision of the image and a payment for its use.

The prices vary according to the resolution of the image (high, medium or low definition) and its use (printing size for publications, Internet site, slide show, PowerPoint presentation, TV or film report etc.).

All requests should be made:

in writing to Odile Biller, photo library, Museum of Aquitaine, Cours Pasteur, 33000 Bordeaux, or send a message here.
